DS woke up screaming an hour after I fed him so I gave him to DH. I'm basically sitting on my hands listening to him screaming because DH has his own way and thinks he can put DS down before he is asleep. Trying not to step in and save him is hard but I have to since I'll be going back to work Monday.
Wake up #1 after 5 hours. Last night she slept 9 hours as her first stretch. What the hell, inconsistent baby?!
DH tried to replace the paci twice and get her back to sleep, but she was having none of it. So here nursing her and hoping for a few more hours of sleep.
DD just did 7pm-5:30am for the second night in a row. I'm not dumb enough to think this will happen from here on out but it has been nice the last two nights.
The only nursing I was still doing was the one MOTN feed and I wasn't sure when/if I would drop that one last session. But this made it easy for me and I didn't nurse last night or tonight. Even though it was just one session it makes me a little sad. However since its been one session on one side, my boobs are lopsided so I won't be mad that they will even up again soon.

@cse1960, hope you feel better soon.
Wakeup #1 million. DW is pretty useless in the MOTN and was just letting DD cry even though we've agreed to not let her cry MOTN. So now I'm up soothing DD back to sleep even though I've only gotten about three hours of sleep.
Wake up 1 at almost 5AM. DD was fighting going to sleep last night, so I'm actually pleased she slept from 9:30 until now. Hoping she will go back to sleep for another few hours.

I meant to ask... are you formula feeding now? Just curious since you mention doing a lot of wake ups.
We're combo feeding and kind of split the wakeups. DD is a non- sleeping mess and so I feed her a pumped bottle for her first wake up, usually a formula bottle for her second wakeup, and then DW nurses at any subsequent wakeups, usually 2 more. But I have a lot more patience for DD's non-sleeping shenanigans, so I often end up taking her if she's giving DW a hard time. We started this way because I was SAH so the sleep deprivation affected me less, and DW lets me catch up on sleep on the weekends. It's not a traditional nursing mom arrangement and it means DD gets more formula than if DW got up to nurse, but it works for us.

If DD2 is as awful at sleeping as DD1 was I am considering the second motn wake up will be formula given by my husband after six months old. What we have going now (2 wakings) I can totally manage (although I'm a bit tired) but my first daughter was also sleeping like this at this age. It was around 3.5 months old that she decided to wake up every two hours for forever.
Sounds like you guys are making the best of the situation.
E also woke up every 2 hours for forever- he didn't sttn until 15 months. Guess who bought formula today?

I think formula can be a total sanity saver with a bad sleeper. It's really hard to only sleep 1.5 hours at a time.
I hope your DD2 is a good sleeper though. You deserve a break!
