November was a pretty good month for me.
I finished 8 books: 49. A Fatal Twist of Lemon -- Greenwood, Patrice 50. A Mouthful of Murder -- Durand, Carol & Summer Prescott 51. Cupcakes & Murder -- Durand, Carol & Summer Prescott 52. Mango Madness Murder -- Durand, Carol & Summer Prescott 53. Something Fishy -- Maloney, Shane 54. Women's Devotional Bible -- New International Version 55. Johnno -- Malouf, David 56. The Thames River Murders -- Gardner, Ashley
And I have ticked off all but two of the tasks on the Ultimate Reading Challenge, but I'm reading a bit of those each day and I should be finished on or before Dec. 31.
I feel like I'm behind for the year, and compared to the past two years I am, but I'm still pleased with the total number so far, especially since I've had a couple of months when I read only two books.

I'm impressed! I'm at 37 and expect to have another 2-3 checked off by the end of the year but I'm not going to finish.
One that I feel I should be able to tick off is the book with bad reviews. Since every book ever written has both good and bad reviews, what does that really mean? Predominantly bad? Below some average star rating on Goodreads?
I also don't know how to interpret the book at the bottom of my to read list since my list isn't in any sort of order. Would a book I've owned more than a year but picked up this year count? Does it matter if it's one of several I've owned at least that long?
40. Sharp Objects - Gillian Flynn (Auidobook) 41. The Parable of the Sower - Octavia Butler 42. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - JK Rowling 43. America Again - Stephen Colbert (Audiobook) 44. Finder's Keepers - Stephen King (Audiobook) 45. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - GRR Martin
I don't really have a goal. Given that I'm a good way into 2 other books at the moment and Christmas break coming up, I expect to reach about 50.
I've read 65/75 books, but I think I can catch up. I'm in the middle of a ton of books that will be easy to wrap up, including an audio book (15 more hours, but still, it's audio). Also, I visit my parents over Christmas and I'm just allowed to relax and read a lot for several days. It's so nice. I always do a lot of catching up there.
The Kill A Mockingbird - Harper Lee Go Set A Watchman - Harper Lee People of the Book - Geraldine Brooks Tobacco Road - Erskine Caldwell The Girl on the Train - Paula Hawkins
The Angel of Darkness by Caleb Carr 4* Dense but good, quite the suspense
All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr 5* So beautifully written and powerful during these turbulent times (was reading at the time of the Paris attacks).
In The Woods by Tana French 4* Dark, a bit disturbing since the mystery is murdered kids, but I liked the way the story unwound itself.
Within these Walls by Ania Ahlborn 4* Mixed ghosts and a cult so I enjoyed it. Alice by Christina Henry 5* Loved this, can't wait for the sequel. Sans Pareil Mystery by Karen Charlton 3* This was fine, it just didn't really hold my attention.
