When do you start? Do you walk away from your novel for a bit after November or do you dive into editing right away? I've always needed a few weeks break before diving into editing or else I think I'd go crazy.
I wait until April to even bother looking at it. Then it's pretty much a fresh perspective. I think they changed companies that give free proofs though and they're due Jan 30 this year, which is really crap.
I'm still finishing up my novel.... maybe another 2-3k words. Hopefully this weekend.
Now that NaNo is over and all the hype and excitement has subsided... I kind of don't think my novel is as great as I did before, haha! It's like I had novel beer goggles or something. Sad Trombone.
I usually wait a couple of months before editing anything I plan to edit. I'm likely not going to edit this particular novel -- it rather turned out to be one of the NaNo novels that I'll just keep in a file somewhere. lol
Besides, I have a couple other novels I still need to finish revising and editing if I plan to e-pub the series in the next year or so.
