and I'm freaking out a little. i'm taking baby aspirin now, but a research paper I found on dr. google found that the aspirin doesn't make much of a difference.
Low blood flow can result in the baby not growing like it should and preeclampsia.
The dr. didn't seem super worried, but the more I'm reading, the more worried I'm getting.
I see a regular OBGYN, but I went to a specialist for the screening ultrasound. I'm not sure what kind of doctor she was, but she's the one that told me to start the aspirin.
I'm going to call my regular OB office tomorrow for some reassurance.

I KNOW! Honestly, I fully expected to read that it wasn't a big deal, and that the aspirin would straighten it out.
So I've never done this but if you're freaked out ask your doctor for materials to read. At least know it's coming from someone with a real degree and not a less famous Dr. Jenny McCarthy.

That's good. I am sure that your dr will follow you closely with extra monitoring, growth ultrasounds etc. But if at any point you are worried, you could always ask for another consult with MFM (maternal fetal medicine, the specialists).
I swear, most of my visits to L&D were the result of looking something up on Dr. google. If your dr. doesn't seem too concerned, try not to worry about it. I found that if I brought up my concerns/ questions about things that were freaking me out, my dr. was very helpful in keeping me calm. Pregnancy can be such a mind-fuck!

I am just a lurker, but I also had low blood flow to my uterus during my second pregnancy. It caused no problems whatsoever, and I have a very healthy 3 year old now. I understand the need to google, I did it too, but it really caused no issues with my pregnancy or my baby.

Huge hugs! (hug) I'm sure talking to your OB tomorrow will help. Take care of yourself (hydrate, eat and rest).
I'm high risk and about 5 weeks ahead of you. It's so hard. H and I are doing our best to not worry about things we won't know the outcome of for a few more weeks (spina bifida and heart valve issues).

Okay do we saw an MFM and conpared to my already breezy OB she was like zen. Even when I had to be induced for pree she was like "we are really just being super cautious since you were scheduled for 3 days from now anyway." I love her.
Specialists have seen more, the bad but also the good. I would google more if this was your reg OB or ask for an MFM opinion but if a specialist diagnosed AND said nbd I would believe them.
I had something different, but I know what you're going through. In my case, the OB sent me to a MFM specialist who had me go in for biweekly, then weekly check ups. At one point my OB freaked out and ordered bedrest for me. The specialist was like, no way, not supported by research, just carry on living your life. I went with her advice b/c she knows what she's talking about. Believe me, I did plenty of googling, but google was like my OB, freaking out and automatically jumping to the worst case scenario. The specialist was the calm and rational voice, and she was right.
