I've got a trip to the Bahamas planned for Jan.

H and I are off from Thanksgiving week all the way to week after New Years. Thanksgiving week we'll be driving to NC to visit our family. Then two weeks in Dubai. 2 weeks relaxing at home but we've been thinking about a cruise since we have an extra week this winter. Then flying to California to visit my extended family for Christmas and New Years.

We're going to Hong Kong (and possibly Taiwan) for New Years.

Before that, we hope to go to Moreton Island (off the east coast of Australia) to feed hand dolphins. Yay!

H and I both work for the fed govt. We could take of a month or more if we wanted based on how much leave we have. In the future, this is how I would like to do vacations. But H would die if he was off work for that long.

I'm a software engineer, so I could do the same. However, I go stir-crazy if I'm at home for more than a month, so I take four or five 1-2 week trips throughout the year.

My boyfriend works in Brazil, and technically they're only allowed to take their vacation in two chunks. Since his last trip was fairly short, he had to take the rest of his vacation as a whole month in one block.

We've got Florida in December
North Carolina for the holidays and just booked Kauai for next summer.

Buenos Aires next month for a week! We're getting really excited.

I'll be going to Florida around Christmas to visit my grandmother. We're not sure yet if my husband will be able to go. He doesn't have a lot of PTO days left.

We'll probably go somewhere next March or June. My husband's in school, so usually we have to plan trips around his breaks.

I hope someday we'll be able to take a trip at least two weeks. Three weeks would be awesome, but I don't expect that to actually happen any time soon.

We did 4 weeks in Central/Eastern Europe last spring. It was our first time going somewhere for a month. It was amazing to save up vacation time and use it at once!

I'm sorry. I just now saw your post.

My H works in city law enforcement. He works holidays and a lot of overtime but gets 3 weeks of vacation per year and about 1-2 weeks of holiday and personal time that he can use when he chooses so it's a nice pay off. I was unemployed, not by choice, for the last year so we took advantage of the extra time while we could.

I finally got a job a few weeks ago actually working for the city also, but I'm not sure my position would allow me to take off for weeks at a time.

Just returned from Cartagena on Sunday. Going to London for a wedding in 2 weeks, Minneapolis for a wedding in 3 weeks, Ireland for a wedding in November, and Rwanda in December.
