Mole turning scabby

Is this a normal thing? I just noticed today one of my moles looks scabby now. Could I have just scratched it?

I've had it a while but at my derm appointments she has said it is benign/ nothing to worry about. It's normally just a small pale brown raised mole on my breast

I took a photo so I can compare in a few days / week or two? Does that seem reasonable... I'm trying not to be alarmist as it Likely just got scratched?

I'd have it checked out just in case.

If you don't remember scratching it, I would go in and have it looked at. I have had miles scab over and haven't remembered scratching them and they turned out to be ok, though!

Get it checked out. For me I would be worried with the unknown.

thanks guys. I think I'll wait a couple days and if it looks the same then call. If they tell me to come in Monday would be best as I'm already working from home because I have a dentist appointment

I don't remember scratching it but I do have two grabby children and a puppy so it doesn't seem out of the question that it was scratched by someone ...

Yeah, I couldn't get into my derm for like 2 months!!!

But yes, I would get it checked out because you're better safe than sorry.

I called in August for today's appt.

And that was with me saying I had a spot that concerned me!

Oh I have no idea! I just assumed ha! I should probably not assume that, it may take months then? Hmm.

Can you email the pic to your Derm?

I don't see any other evidence of being scratched around the mole, and you don't remember being scratched so I would get it looked at.
