And it has to just be the core. The surrounding fleshy part you usually eat *may* cause slight uterine contractions (like tea), so according to 'theory' you want to avoid that part.

I can't say that I have tried it. I do believe that it is rather fiberous, chewy and hard. Like Slaps said, many will add it to a smoothy to get it down.

I put it in a smoothie. I regularly make smoothies in the morning using pineapple so when I cut up the pineapple I cut up the core separately and freeze it. I after I O I use the core in the smoothie instead of the pineapple "meat." The smoothie doesn't taste any different to me using the core instead of the meat.
You weren't responding to me, and I haven't tried it, but someone mentioned that the best thing to do is to blend it into a smoothie.
