What a great start to my day. I knew that the chances of me actually passing were low because I wasn't ready. I scored right where I expected. I have one more shot before I start losing credits.
Oh no! I am sorry, Steph. When can you next try again? Hopefully there is enough time so you can really focus on the area you need.
I have until February 24th. That SHOULD be plenty of time. It just really sucks knowing that I have one shot left. I'm really going to buckle down this time.
I'm sorry, Steph. Right. You can do this; you're absolutely right to think about buckling down. Maybe think about a weekly goal schedule? Something to keep you on track, without putting too much pressure on yourself come Feb. Work on funneling any stress into importance on studying. You can Do This!
I have been there and know how much it sucks. I am a CPA but it took me four tries to pass all the parts of the CPA exam. It wasn't because I was dumb; although I thought this at the time. It was because I was unmotivated. My life was just too busy. I was working full time in a travel intensive job, dating and taking classes for a Masters' in addition to studying for the CPA
Test taking is a skill like any other skill and it wasn't a natural skill for me. Some people do really well on tests while people like me know the material and then freeze up on a test. For me to get through the exam, I had to use specific measured goals like miniroller said. I had to take hundreds of practice tests to get me comfortable taking the test. I had to give up that semester's classes towards my Masters' degree so I could focus only on the CPA exam. Like you, I was going lose credit for the parts that I had passed and I was livid about it. But I buckled down and passed the exam.
Oh I'm so sorry! Hang in there. Agree with winnieandwine, give yourself a minute to feel this, take a day or two, have some wine, whatever you do. Then get back to it with a vengeance. You can do this.

This will be my 4th try at this section. I thought FAR would be the hardest, but REG is so much harder for me. Taxes are just not my thing. I always do great on business law and then I fail miserably on the tax portion. I tried to focus more on the tax side this time, but there's just so many details that I can't remember.
I know what happened this time--I didn't buckle down like I needed to. I have a planner where I plan out what I'm doing each day and once I complete that task, I give myself a star sticker. Kinda childish but it keeps me motivated when I look at my planner and see all the sparkly stars. ( miniroller ) My issue this time was that I took a trip in the middle of studying and I completely got off track and got about 2 weeks behind. I knew I wasn't ready to test but I had to.
I'm just so ready to be done with it. I'm tired of studying. I've been doing it for 28 months. At this point, I don't even know why I'm doing this. I thought it would help me find better jobs, but so far my job search is turning up nothing. I can't even get interviews. I'm hoping that once I pass, everything will get better.
I'm so sorry. It's been about five years since I took the CPA exam, but I will never forget the heart sinking feeling of failing a section. REG was the hardest part for me too...I eventually had to switch review courses because Becker just wasn't getting me there for this section. Good luck! You'll get there!
