What, huh, really?
And who would take the time to scam these weirdos? Like did they get ads that said,
"Hi, I am Bob, I would love to buy your BABY FOR YOUR 14 YR OLD, but can I please send you a money order for the BABY FOR YOUR 14 YR OLD and extra for shipping on a money order. You cash the money order, send me the BABY FOR YOUR 14 YR OLD and then any extra money you can keep."

I am pretty sure they should be looking for a some mental health services for both people. What exactly do you charge the 14 year old with? Setting up a nursery for a non-existent baby? I am not even sure what you would charge the mom with, soliciting crazy? If thats the case, then crazy is all over the internet. Seems like the resources could be better used to investigate actual cases of children who are "re-homed" without any government oversight, rather than a nutty craigslist ad.

Isn't this essentially soliciting human trafficking?

Obviously, technically it is or there would not be charges, but there is no actual human being trafficked, . At the same time, the ad is so ridiculous, it is like a clown car, compared to the thousands of legitimate would be parents who have post with bios asking for newborns.
Well, damn.... Stupid me never considering finding a child on Craigslist.
What were they going to do with the birth certificate and health records? Can you just transfer a birth certificate to a new mother like a car registration?
