DD is 14 months. She has a pretty serious rat tail going on and hair is growing over her ears. I WANT to cut it but it also breaks my heart a little bit. SHE'S TOO YOUNG!
I think he was almost 2. I was a little sad, but he looked so cute afterward.
With my daughter I'll trim the back if it gets too long. Cutting it will be easier than having to look at a mullet all the time. This house is strictly a mullet-free zone.

DD didn't get a real haircut until she was like 5. DS1 was at 8 months. His hair was sooo long and his bangs kept getting in his face. I don't think 14 months is too early.
Almost age 4, and even then, just a teeny trim. I didn't want to lose the curls at the end. They're gone now, and now I'm reliving my adorable toddler hair curls with my almost-3-year-old.

Right around 1 year old. The hair over his ears was looking ridiculous, and he was getting a sweet mullet look in the back. He looks adorable right after each haircut so I don't mind having it done.

I cut K's hair myself for the first time around 14 or 15 months. I've been the one to give him haircuts up until just last weekend. It's gotten beyond my abilities so we took him to a kids' haircut place. It looks awesome. He will be three in March.

Two and a half. We cut the super mullet into a cute bob. We haven't gotten a second cut and the front still won't grow. It's chin length in front and four inches longer in back.
i got DS's hair cut at 8 months. He has always had a lot of hair and the front was getting long. I am not particularly sentimental about hair though. I would rather he look cute with a haircut then rock the toddler mullet/bowl cut that I see so often because it's clear the parents don't want to cut it.
Theo was maybe 7 or 8 months when I trimmed his bangs because he had the longest front hairs, and he looked like his uncle, who is a basement dwelling neckbeard dude. So I trimmed it. Then I took him for a haircut when he was 2 because he forever had crazy pigpen hair.
Ilya's still pretty bald. He will probably have enough hair to cut by kindergarten.
I trimmed my daughter's bangs when she was 7 months. Her hair growns in a forward direction and at the time she wouldn't let me put any clips or hair ties in her hair. I let the rest grow out and then trimmed the whispies off when she was around 15 months which evened her hair out in the back.

I've told DH I will shave off 1 of his eyebrows if he tries to cut DS's hair. I doubt that will change before he's 2, unless his hair gets completely unmanageable.
