I finally found a not super expensive bottle of red that I really enjoy but I haven't seen it for less than $15/bottle. I wonder if I found a cheaper Cabernet Sauvignon from that region if it would be similar enough...

$15 is actually a really good price for a Decoy red. They're usually around $20 at my usual haunts.
Decoy is the budget-friendly line from Duckhorn winery, which has a good overall rep. I don't think another cab sauv from the same general area will necessarily be as good; you'd have to just taste and see!
$6-$8 and I don't even drink it daily. I avoid higher priced wines so my taste buds don't get used to nicer stuff. Yellowtail reigns supreme in my world. Lol. I buy Bota boxes for the holidays when I want to get fancy

We've recently switched to the Robert Mondavi Woodbridge Cabernet Sauvignon, which is $11.99 on sale for the 1.5L.
Prior to that, we drank $15-$20 NYS stuff that isn't widely available (Fox Run lemberger, cab franc and the cab franc lemberger blend, and Heron Hill Ingle Vineyards Pinot noir if you really want to know). We can't afford this on the daily, with DH home in the evenings now. Womp womp.
Our everyday wines are $12 or under, mostly under $9 or $10.
We have a couple of local wine stores whose lists we're on. We get e-mails and the opportunity to buy certain wines at deep discounts, especially if we buy a case. The descriptions of the wines can be confirmed with third party reviews (Parker, etc.), and there are a lot of good wines out there cheap. For example, I drink whites a lot by myself and often have cases of those that average $7-8/bottle.
We like more expensive wine too. We just save it for "special occasions," which may be monthly or more often than that, but the everyday stuff is relatively cheap.
ETA: After reading the replies, I want to add that most of the wine we buy is red and $10-12. We have fairly wide palates, though, and love a lot of South American and Italian and Spanish reds that fall in that range.

I used to enjoy woodbridge back in 05/06. Then it didn't taste the same after a couple of years. I might need to try it again
my H tries to keep it under $25. If I'm buying, under $15.
ETA my H is a fancy wine snob guy and buys a lot of his wine online on discount sites and through wine flash sales. I buy 6 packs of wine at the supermarket.

I go back and forth on it. It's fine by the end of the week, but if we drink something better on the weekend, it takes another day or two to get back on the cheap bus.
It's easier in the summer, because I can enjoy a crappy white much easier than red, but I really just prefer red when it's cold out.
I typically drink a glass/night. We belong to a couple of local wineries, so most of the wine we drink comes from those orders. They average $15-$30/bottle. If I'm buying wine at the store, though, I keep it under $15. My current favorite is a sweet apple wine by Angry Orchard that's $12, but we also drink Kirkland brand wine for under $10/bottle.
