I don't know if she'll like it yet because I'm giving it to my 5 yo for Christmas, but I can't wait to read Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein with her. I loooooved all of his stuff in elementary school.

El Deafo was a big hit with my 6 year old. He went into the dog crate and read it for 2 hours. He is 6. They both also liked Sisters. Both are graphic novels.
There is also The adventures of Super Diaper Baby.
My 5 year old had to read The World According to Humphrey for One Book, One School. It was a little advanced for him but he loved the book so much. I also got him some others in the series especially when they are $1 on the Scholastic Book Club. I will put them in his stocking this year.
