That is most definitely not my DH. He honestly hates my blog yet was contemplating buying me a new laptop because he said that if I didn't get something kick ass for Christmas it wouldn't be good blog material. His annoyance with my social media life is the reason why I deactivated my social media accounts a few weeks ago and then I got my ss gift and wanted to come back on and thank my gift giver so I reactivated. At least this one. I now feel totally silly and stupid for ever doing my blog.

I'm glad you came back and hope you don't feel silly about your blog. I am really wanting to start one just as a creative outlet not only just for fashion stuff. But I'm sorry you're feeling like this. Social media has a lot of really annoying aspects but a lot of great ones too. But hopefully regardless of any of that, just do what makes you happy. I'm sorry! I think I would be heartbroken if the husband hated my blog and social media. Please don't feel silly.

I sent the video to the husband and he caught himself LOLing at some stuff. I know he can relate to some degree or another, but now I feel kinda lucky that he at least tolerates me. And he won't admit it, but there are definitely times when he gets into the picture taking! He's a dork when it comes to his car forums and all that stuff, so I think that's why he can understand or at least appreciate where I'm coming from with my hobby.

He used to be into cars and still is but he started to see how assholish the guys could be on those forums so he backed out. He also doesn't understand how a group if women came together with a goal of getting married and then afterwards continued the talk to h&f, style, politics etc etc. I tell him I can't see how guys hang out on car forums and talk about nothing but cars.

DH belongs to an online car forum but over the years as the guys have gotten older, it has branched out from just cars/drifting to pets, kids, home improvements, garages, tattoos, in addition to cars. So he has no issues with GBCN/Nest etc. Now, FB is a totally different story. I try not to post anything about him on FB since he absolutely hates it. He doesn't "get" instagram but since I post mostly pictures of my dogs and food, he has no real issues there.

Yeah.  DH destests FB.  I try not to post pictures of him on FB or Instagram.  And when he is in a shot with DS he usually tries to duck out.  Every once in while if we're somewhere special or something and I want to get a picture he'll pose even though he knows damn well it's going on the interwebz.

I think I'm more anti-facebook than the husband is. I know I am actually. I don't care about what gets posted, but it's turned into such a stream of spam and what people are "liking" vs. things my friends are actually posting about themselves. Sometimes I will just look at photos without seeing who posted them and not be able to recognize anyone. Which makes me wonder why I am even following along on facebook with them! I do scrubs periodically to hide acquaintances leaving more room for real life friends and family in my feed, but it's just a matter of time before it gets all spammy again.

The husband uses facebook more so for current events, so he's on it all the time.
