I voted "Disklike" because I found it kind of corny. I just saw it for the first time with DH last Christmas season, it was my pick for our Saturday night movie rental night and I was kind of embarrassed I made him watch it. His face was priceless throughout it. He was polite, but he looked like he would rather be anywhere else than watching that movie, LOL.
I think it's a lovely movie. I watched it the other day and it made me so homesick for London (and sad that I never once saw Colin Firth while I lived there). It's not my favourite or overly brilliant, but I definitely enjoy it.

Love love love. I will never not love that movie. I think I own 3 copies of the DVD (because everyone knows I love it and keeps giving me it as a gift), and I'm really tempted to get the digital version, too.
Also, it came out while I was in grad school, so I watched it with friends in London. It was kind of fun to feel like a little part of some British patriotism during Hugh Grant's prime minister speech...and to be the only person in the theater laughing when he says he's going to Wisconsin. Definitely a lot of nostalgia when I watch it

Maybe he was in France then.
Lol! My friend does the PR for the stylist who does his hair, so I like to think I know him even though we've never met.
It's so much better than your average chick flick though! But I do agree that Die Hard is an excellent Christmas movie, we watch it every year in addition to Love Actually and The Holiday.
Of course Alan rickman's character sucks, but I'm okay with that because it gives Emma Thompson yet another chance to show off what a wonderful actress she is. That last scene in the school is heartbreaking.
Now that I'm a middle-aged mom myself the scene where she listens to the Janis Joplin CD in her bedroom KILLS ME. I mean I thought it was sad when I first saw it, but now it's even worse lol. EFF YOU, SNAPE!

As a Canadian, I must point out that it was a JONI MITCHELL cd.
