I love making delicious food for Christmas dinner. Planning the menu is one of the highlights of the holidays for me. This year I'm planning to make hot gruyere and white wine chicken dip for an appetizer. I'd like to pair it with a holiday martini but I'm not sure what would pair will with this appetizer. Any ideas? Or is this an appetizer that I really need to serve wine with?
I'm planning to make shrimp scampi and steak bruschetta for the main course with simple vegetable side. For dessert I'm keeping it simple with fresh berries and vanilla whipped cream.
This looks delicious! I'd love to do this if you think it will go okay with my appetizer.
I do think they will go with your appetizers. I think the tartness of the cranberry will cut through the richness of the cheese and chicken thighs in the dip, as well as the steak. And the rosemary will compliment the cheese and give that little extra holiday flare. But I adore rosemary so there's that.
