Childhood's End & The Expanse (SyFy)

Anyone watching? Where my geeks at?

It's been 20+ years since I read Childhood's End, so I have no clue what's going to happen. But I'm liking it.

The Expanse was a bit slow to start, but so was the first book. Should pick up tonight & I'm loving that they introduced Chrisjen right away. Now I just need Bobbie & I'll be perfectly content. They're my favorites.

Also looking forward to The Magicians first ep on Wednesday. SyFy is really going for it in terms of quality programming this year.

We watched both but I tuned out 15 minutes into expanse. DH is more of the geek than I am but I enjoyed childhood's end. I didn't know it was a book. I'll have to pick it up because I'm eager to find out what happens. I was slightly annoyed at the lack of security for the farmer (I suck with names). That was the most unbelievable part for me. Lol.

I recorded the Expanse to watch later this week, but missed recording Childhood's End. I hope it's on again, I'd like to get into a new SyFy series but I only have time for one, lol. I'd like to be able to choose!

I'm bumping this because I just watched the first episode of The Expanse (we don't have cable, so I have to get them from Amazon). I loved the books, and I thought they did a great job with the beginning and the characters. I was a little surprised they brought in Chrisjen already, but I love her in the books so that's okay. She better start swearing more, though.
