My favorite show was probably Empire. I also like Quantico, Goldbergs, How to Get Away With Murder, House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, and Homeland.
Favorite movies I saw during this year were the following: Creed, Bridge of Spies, Nightcrawler, Whiplash, Foxcatcher, Spotlight

I liked it too. I thought I wouldn't like the 2nd season since I didn't know where they were planning to go, but they did a good job with tension & creative storylines (it is a little ridiculous sometimes but I still liked it).
I liked Mindy Project on Hulu. I thought it was funnier than the last broadcast season, and I really liked how they ended the season.
Movies - my favorite was probably Mad Max. I also liked Creed, Ant-Man, Man from UNCLE, Bridge of Spies, Terminator Genisys, Spy.

I think Sense8 was probably my favorite show of the year, although Daredevil and Jessica Jones were great also. Movie is tougher. I haven't seen a lot. Dope probably wins, with honorable mentions for The Martian, Ex Machina, Pawn Sacrifice, Ant-Man, Fury Road, Trainwreck, Spy, and Bridge of Spies. Huh, guess I saw more than I realized. :-)

I'm trying to think what movies I saw this year in the theater:
Woman in Gold, Ted 2, Pitch Perfect 2, Minions, Love and Mercy, Steve Jobs, Bridge of Spies, Spotlight, Star Wars: Force Awakens, The Martian, Black Mass
(plus Beasts of No Nation on Netflix)
We're also seeing Joy and Big Short sometime before the new year.

You have to watch Making a Murderer on Netflix. Fascinating. Best of Enemies, which focuses on the William F. Buckley, Jr./Gore Vidal debates, is good as well.
I wish I had more access to the documentaries. Seems like it's going to come down to Amy vs. Look of Silence. That's ironic, considering it was Act of Killing versus another music doc a few years ago.
I just saw 'Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father' on Netflix and I LOVED it. VERY sad and will fill you with anger until you cry your eyes out....but it's really good.
Favorite Shows - Better Call Saul, The Affair, iRobot Favorite Movies - Bridge of Spies, Concussion...haven't seen much in the theater now that we have a little one!

Do you mean Mr. Robot or is there a show also called iRobot?
We just watched all of Mr. Robot on streaming...I liked it a lot! I'll also add Master of None to my favorite shows list.
"Lion" is my favourite movie of the year. It's available on movieberry.com . This movie portal always saves me money I would spend on buying tickets. It provides latest movies as soon as they hit the nearest theater.
I don't have a favorite show of the year cause I don't watch tv.
But once in a blue moon I'll catch a rerun or two of Frasier. I love that show cause I love the dry humor.
Favorite movies? That's a tough one. I have a huge DVD collection, but I recently watched Made In Heaven again, and that's probably up there in my most favorites list.
Otherwise I love a good cheesy B movie any day of the week.
I can tell at least 3 my favorite sport events of the year: Olympic, NFL, EU championship))) Great that i found info about some good sites for streaming sports - www.firesticktricks.com/free-sports-streaming-sites.html . A bit more tricky with movies and shows but i would say Handmaid's tale last season was definitely on top of my list. It made me cry a lot this time and i couldn't wait to see next and next episode.
