DH's bday was Saturday so we went to see Star Wars. I'm not a huge fan, but I thought it was good. Sunday we had his family over for brunch. I ended up cooking because the restaurant we were going to screwed up our reservation. In the end, I think it was better to have the party at our house.
Now I really just need this kid to come! My patience is waning quickly. My parents and aunt and uncle are coming here and brining food for Christmas, but it's all so up in the air. Sigh.
Busy around here. Over the weekend we took S to see Santa. There was something wrong with the photographer's camera, so she and Santa ended up chatting for about 20 minutes. She is so wound up over Christmas, it's exhausting. But it's going to be so much fun. She also went to her Irish step dancing lesson, and still loves it. We're the only parents without an Irish accent in the whole place
I am no longer wanting to strangle my DH, as he has agreed to bring DD to Christmas Eve Mass. In years past I have wrangled her for one service, dropped her off with him, and sung with the choir for another. It's draining. This year we're putting on a concert before the evening Mass, and told him I'd like them to see/hear it. So he agreed that it will be best for the schedule for him to bring her for the whole thing. Then we'll have all of Christmas Day to lounge around in our PJs and figure out where to put all the new Christmas loot
I managed to finish knitting a large project for my mom in time for Christmas, that's my big accomplishment, LOL. MIL is coming for a week next Monday, should be an adventure.

cpgm, I feel your pain! Just want the baby to come now! I am due 12/25. Hope you have a healthy delivery and soon!!
Right now a waiting game for me! Had a cousins dinner yesterday. Christmas Eve and Christmas are up in the air. I bought a ham and some sides. My husband or mom may be cooking it if I am in the hospital.

We have been super busy lately. I started my new job 2 weeks ago and it has been a whirlwind but I absolutely love my coworkers and boss. I was so sad for the lady that I'm replacing to retire, I really really hope they hire her back as a part timer. She is just such a nice lady.
We are driving back up north starting tomorrow afternoon and are staying over at a hotel with the dogs north of Baltimore. This is going to be an adventure to say the least. We will be back on Wednesday and driving back down on NYE. I can't believe we have already been gone 2 months.

Good luck, cgpm and lizlemon19 ! Hope everything goes smoothly and you're both holding your little ones very soon! Good luck with your MIL, drloretta . RockNVoll , enjoy your time at home! I hope you get a little downtime in between squeezing in all of the visits with family & friends. bostonmichelle , I'm glad to hear things are going well with your new job - good luck with the trip north!
And scm1011 , I feel your pain - I've just got to make it til 4:30 today (well, 4something today anyway) and then I'm off until January 7th. Yesterday was ROUGH; I'm hoping today is a little easier. I told my boss it's like the dorms at finals around here - every day there are fewer and fewer people, ha.

Same here! Last week was nuts, but I actually have NOTHING to do this week. So all I'm doing is messing around on the internet and counting down until the day is over. I might go walk around Fanueil Hall just to break up the day a bit.
Well, I suppose now is as good a time as any to update the group. H and I are getting a divorce. It's been a difficult past 5 months but it is for the best. For me and for him. It's as civil and amicable a process as I suppose you could hope for with something like this but no less emotional. We've been able to settle everything, all that's left is for the mediator to draft the divorce paperwork and for us to sell the house which based on just this weekend alone, I think we'll be selling very quickly. I moved out back in August into a temporary place but will be looking for something come Spring.
Needless to say I'm hoping for better things in 2016.

Saturday c had a birthday party where all the kids were seeing star wars. So we took L to see the good dinosaur and to legoland until the end of the party. Then they got haircuts for Santa pictures. Sunday is swim and that afternoon we went to see Santa which they loved. Lucas insisted on wearing his santas little helper shirt so Santa could see it.
