I'm struggling with ideas for the boys. They are 2.5 years old. One loves trains so Santa is bringing him a train set. The other keeps asking for different things so I have both a boat and a monster truck ready for Santa to give depending on what his final ask is.
But I want something under the tree from DW and I (or their sister) and I'm drawing a blank. Bonus points if you include a link to a favorite toy. Ideally it would be something I can buy two of or something that can be used by both of them at the same time.

My son is the same age and has a few imagjnext toys that he loved (a firehouse and a battle cruiser thing). The people that come with them are interchangeable, which is nice.
I also found him a race car that lights up and makes noise that I think he's going to love.

What size and price range?
DS is 27 months and we got him:
- the Little Tykes trampoline - a play kitchen - a microphone with recording and sound effects (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XR8FUP2?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01) - a Star Wars Kaleidoscope - a sled - a book
Melissa & Doug makes these "Water Wow" coloring books that are cool.
We got DS1 the Ultimate Garage by Hot Wheels, and the Shark Showdown. He's obsessed with cars, though. And I got him a Gears! set from amazon that looks really cool. Oh, and a Stuffie.
Thank you! I'm looking up a bunch of these now. FWIW, a lot of the bigger ticket items (play kitchen, trampoline, shopping cart, etc) they already have because older sister has them.
fortnightlily - the Melissa & Doug WOW books are amazing! I bought them for our recent plane ride and I'm not kidding when I say the books kept the boys entertained for a good 90 minutes easily. They continued to play with up throughout our vacation with out tiring of them.
