Hi everyone! I've never posted over here, but I'm looking for a recommendation on a good shampoo for sensitive skin. We have a hairy-hairless Chinese Crested, (Jack), and when he went to the groomers last time, he broke out in a small rash. It didn't seem to bother him, and he wasn't biting at it or acting lethargic, so the vet said to watch it and bring him in if it got worse. It cleared up in a couple of days, so we chalked it up to whatever shampoo the groomer used. Last week, we gave him a bath at home, and he broke out again, albeit a lot less.
We use an oatmeal-based shampoo, and he's never had an issue with it before. I was wondering if anyone with a hairless pooch has a specific brand recommendation? We used Nature's Miracle oatmeal shampoo for a while, but quit when it seemed he was breaking out more frequently with small pimples on his back.
And here's a picture of Jack, who thanks you for your help!

Dot gets skin infections quite regularly and we have actually switched to baby shampoo. It doesn't seem to be as harsh on her skin.
That said, if you are concerned with the condition of his coat (as in, needs to be shiny or whatever), human-grade shampoo may not be the right choice. I seem to remember a year or two ago a big discussion from some of the show/breeding girls about human shampoo damaging coats - although I could be wrong about that, it was a while ago and my memory is crap.
We have 2 sensitive skin show dogs and we use John Paul Oatmeal shampoo. Our girls always get compliments on their coats. When I finally found this shampoo I did a happy dance.
