I was kinda disappointed overall with the show - I can't fathom why anyone would have thought the opening skit/song would have been funny in any way - it was just weird and dumb and looooong. But this skit had me roaring.
Team funny. SNL used to do cringe-funny well but now it's often just cringe. Tina and Amy pulled it in (and Sir Paul with Bruce at the end? to die for)
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
I'm growing older but not up. My metabolic rate is pleasantly stuck, let the winds of time blow over my head. I'd rather die while I'm living than live while I'm dead.
My husband is 8 years older than I am. I like to tease him about how I was our daughter's age when he lost his virginity. He does not think it is as funny as I do.
He is also an avid kayaker and I told him I should give it a try. Because I'm chubby like the wife in the skit who dies in a tragic kayaking accident.
So that made the skit even funnier in a really uncomfortable coincidental kind of way.
