And no, no pics because I'm bored at work and didn't bring my sweater. Will take pics later if needed.
So, I just finished my first adult-sized sweater. Took for bleeding ever, but I do love it. I made the Tea Leaves (http://madelinetosh.com/store/index.php/patterns/tea-leaf-cardigan.html, on ravelry here: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/tea-leaves-cardigan) and it went well with a few minor exceptions (wish the sleeves had more ease, but lesson learned). The main "trouble" I have is the button plackets - in picking up those stitches it calls for picking up 3 of every 4. I'm NO GOOD at doing this, and while I thought I cast on the exact same number of stitches, one seems too long for the edge so it sort of ruffles. I washed and blocked the sweater, and it remedied it to an extent. Any other tricks? The edge with button holes looks perfect. The edge for the buttons looks a little janky.
You're not going to like it, but my advice is to frog & re-knit the placket. Picking up an exact stitch count on the plackets isn't necessarily the way to go all the time, you need the number of stitches that looks right. Should be pretty quick since its the button side that need to be redone.
