DH always has the sound on when he's playing cell phone games. And his key clicks are on. And he plays on his phone in bed and doesn't understand why I want to kill him. It's like living with a 90 year old sometimes. Turn that shit off!
This is my FIL. All of it. Notifications and answeting/calling via FaceTime in public. No, your granddaughter doesn't want to say hi on FaceTime to the cashier at cvs.
Key clicks are annoying. Facebook chimes drive me up the wall, especially when you get more than a dozen during our ten minute conversation. And why do you have your email set to chime every time you get a message?
Reminders? That's understandable, at least when they're reasonable and limited.
And most people have their calls and texts as noise, although personally I set it to vibrate and put it in my pocket when I'm hanging out with someone.

I didn't get past the first paragraph. My boomer parents both have flip phones. My mom mostly knows how to make calls on hers (free long distance), but doesn't really know how to answer it and I'll pretty sure she has no clue about voice mail. My dad only knows how to call 911 on his (my mom made he get it when he was hiking trails for exercise). He has never used it.
Well. I just discovered that I am apparently no longer a boomer. Huh! I was all, "Oh I'm a boomer and I don't do any of this stuff". Then I couldn't remember the boomer years, and wondered if my dad was a boomer because HE fits all this. So I googled it, and discovered that apparently somewhere along the way, I am no longer a baby boomer, but am part of generation Jones. WTF? I'm now having an identity crisis.
But all that said, if I still WAS a boomer, at least my sounds are turned off!
