Merry Christmas!
We're enjoying a quiet day at home with just the four of us. My mom joined us for breakfast but has gone to visit my grandma now. I'm looking forward to a quiet afternoon of board games and maybe a walk in our unseasonably warm weather. It's not too often that we can do that on Christmas since it's usually snowing and blowing here.

Merry Christmas!
We slept in. So indulgent! Had breakfast, opened presents, and now we're chilling before dinner at my parents. Dessert is in the oven and I'm writing thank you notes for birthday gifts from earlier in the week.
Boyfriend did great with gifts and breakfast and movies!
Rocko already completely destroyed two of his new toys because he attacked them so completely. It's fun watching him be all playful puppy. ?
We had a really good Christmas. We had a lot of fun. The food was good (my SIL cooked this time!). The cake I baked was even more amazing than I thought it would be. I got a wine fridge, some gift cards, and lots of cash. Now I am curled up by the fireplace while I study.

No major drama, and a very happy Christmas over here.
We have definitely had some cringe-inducing moments, though. This afternoon a cousin asked when we are having kids. When I tried to brush it off, he told a story about his friend that had success after many years of struggling with infertility and said "don't give up hope." Ummm, we haven't been trying (at least not for long at all, but that's none of his business!)
My biggest drama was realizing that I actually know some of the words to the Property Brothers ranch special by heart. Why do I keep rewatching ? Why does HGTV air it everyday?!
It was just DS and me all day today. We thought his friend whose family flew home without him (wtf lol!) might show up, but he flaked. I slept too much, we both ate too much, we had some great conversation with dinner and after, DS gave me a huge hug and told me I'm a great mom, he loves me so much and is thankful for all I do for him . Who knew he noticed lol! Best gift ever .

sfy, that is because they are both (well, all three of them of you count the other brother) are so damn charming!
I'm on my way home. I got my very heavy (I bought dh 10lbs of cheese) carry on bag checked to my final destination (which always feels like winning the lotto), so I'm off to drink alone at an airport bar on Christmas, lol. 4 hours until I see dh!
Update: I have made many new friends. I love airport drinking!
Best Christmas ever. My mom was so excited when she opened her new iMac that she burst into tears. My brother said he hardly slept last night because he was so excited to give her the gift.
I got an awesome gift from Mr. Insom - tickets and airfare to Hamilton - and I was so shocked I kept yelling, who did this?! Who did this?!
I got to see my cousin from Michigan and her husband gave me a tip that allowed me to turn the power back on in the bedroom my SIL and her husband are staying in at our home. (They had blown a fuse or something.)
Saw a bunch of my family, removed another motion detecting Christmas ornament, and ate homemade crepes with the inlaws...
Merry Christmas. Our drama was two only-children toddlers competing for the same set of grandparents. Grandma and Grandpa were having a blast and the bruising on the kids was minor. Grandpa's glasses broke but he has about eight pairs because he keeps 'losing' a pair and then finding them again. My brother only stuck both feet in his mouth about three times. That is a record low.
