Well that explains why I have been running to the toilet all day. My manager bought us Chipotle for lunch and I have been sick since then. And that was the only fast food I ever eat. Sad.
ETA: I used to be able to eat fast food with no problems, but the healthier you are, the grosser it gets. I think it upset me this time because I have been eating so much healthier lately that my body was grossed out by it.

If the definition of real food is anything like from the book "Real Food has Curves" then the answer is I can barely do one day. Although I have made some changes and my body turns it's nose down at certain types of junk food now. I always think that Dunkin Donuts look really tasty. But the last few times I ended up regretting it.
I am just taking some of the recipes and going from there. I want to try the budget one though. I couldn't find how to sign up for the e-mail. I spend less then her for two weeks but would like to see her recipes.

I was thinking about doing that too. We have a good bit of land so I'll be doing some planting for the winter and then a larger garden in the spring.
We have already added fresh fruit to each meal and have always included veggies. Is it cheating because the purdue and tyson farms are less than 100 miles from me ;D
If her definition of real food is the same as mine, I already do it about 80% of the time.
When MH deployed in spring I decided to become a vegetarian. And not in a PETA way, but a we depend way too much on hormone-induced meat for our protein. I wanted to get back to a more balanced way of eating.
When I go back to eating meat when he gets back all our meat will come from a local farm that has grass fed beef, free-range chicken fed only organic, non-GMO grain and uses no hormones.
There's a few things I could probably still get rid of, like pasta. I avoid it, but there are those nights where pasta is necessary : )
I will definitely continue to do this, and wouldn't mind getting better at it either. A book I read at the beginning of this was Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barabara Kingsolver. And that details a year in her family's life of eating local, real food. There was a lot of great information in there.

Due to living in a apartment with no yard I can't plant fresh I have to cheat the same way because for the life of me I don't know where to find a farmers market or local meat market

Do you have any patio/porch space? You might be surprised what you can grow in containers. Also - sometimes you can buy into a co-op from farmers where you pay a monthly fee and get produce in return.

I have been looking for any type of farmers market and can't find one. I have a little bit of porch space that we have our mini BBQ pit on with some space left over. We have an extra parking space we could use part of to plant on. Thanks for the idea. Lol it may look ten kinds of redneck, but hey I am one and at least it's healthy

ETA: I found one that is about an hour away but the meat is from California and almost 55.00 for two whole chickens. I like the idea of fresh but I could never bring myself to spend that on only two.
Also, did you post on the TN under a different name?

I don't agree with their definition of real. I go by Michael Pollon's method, which is that if my great-grandmother doesn't recognize it as food, it probably isn't.
So, I don't ever eat fast food (not even chipotle, if we had it), nor do I eat much of anything processed. But hell yeah I'm going to eat pasta.
I do wish I ate enough for a CSA to be worthwhile. We just can't get through that much food before it goes bad. Plus, our local CSAs tend to have way too much bok choy for my preference. At least there are multiple farmers markets I can hit.

This is us. We have several local farmer's markets I can hit up. And we just discovered a farm that is open 7 days a week about 15 minutes from our house so we have been going there too. Its awesome!
