My family wants to do a 7-10 day European vacation. My kids are not old (4 and 6) and would need to fly out of Phl, ewr, or one of the nyc airports. Because of kids age we don't want a super long flight or stopovers. My husband really didn't want to spend more than $800 per flight ticket since we still need to cover rental car, Airbnb/hotels, and food.
I wanted to do Ireland but flights would be at least 1 k per ticket, we have also already been to London and Paris. We would like to go this summer since my son will be on summer break (so anywhere mid June to first week of sept.) please suggest locations for me to look into or good travel search sites to use,Thanks!!
It's slightly over budget, but you could do Brussels from Newark for just under $850 on Scandinavian Airlines from 7/15-7/24. If you play with the dates on Kayak or the Google Matrix, you might also find decent fares into Prague or Lisbon from LGA/JFK/EWR. I'd scratch PHL unless you find a special, it's just going to be cheaper to leave from NYC.
On google matrix I found flights for 885 to Shannon Ireland. It would be a two hour drive but would save the family almost $309 per ticket. Now I just need convince my DH!!
