WIJFR: Divergent (ns)

Since the sequel has been released, I've been interested in reading both books. I started Divergent Tuesday evening and devoured it in two nights. The pace was excellent. The storyline was quite interesting. I was very entertained and recommend this book for a quick, easy read.

I was laughing to myself about how quickly this book went after just finishing the ASOIAF series where each book is about 800-1,000 pages.

I think I'll start Insurgent next week. I'll ruminate on this one for a few days.

I devoured each one in a matter of hours and now have to impatiently wait for the conclusion. It sucks.

I just re-read it last week so that I could start Insurgent. I was surprised at how little I remembered. It was still good though and I plowed right through it.

I am trying to race through Insurgent so I can start A Clash of Kings. That will slow me down.

I saw on the old NBC that the author put together a blog post with a quick catchup since so many people had read the first one a year ago and she really didn't review anything - it just starts right off where the last one finished. I wouldn't have known who anyone was other than the main characters if I hadn't re-read!

I didn't realize that Summit bought the rights to this book/movie adaptation, and Evan Daughtry is writing the screenplay (I was googling). I'm pretty excited for the movie. I hope they do it justice, and it's more than just a teenage love story.

Same! I was like, "Wait, who is this character?" I think I'll reread them both before the third one comes out!
