I prefer Huggies for my boys. I know that it has been said Pampers for girls, Huggies for boys but I have no idea if that is really true. Huggies have been a lot better for us on leaks.

Huggies is the only diaper that always leaks for us. Always. It's ridiculous. And I have a super chunky baby and I thought they were supposed to be God for the chunky ones, but not for us.
I think this varies so much by baby and body shape and not necessarily just boy/girl. I mostly used Kirkland brand from Costco for DS but definitely preferred Huggies over Pampers.

Pampers swaddlers and make sure you point his penis down until it goes that way on it's own. Someone on here gave me that advice after lots of soaked pjs.
We use Pampers for both DD and DS. Up to this point, we've never had a pee leak. Poop up the back, yes, but I think that is unavoidable if they don't go for 3 days.
Kid dependent. Boy 1 was Pampers and Target. Huggies leaked a ton. Boy 2 was Huggies only at first and then Target and Pampers. Pampers did not hold his poop at first. Now nothing holds his pee so he gets MOTN diaper changes 2x a night. No help here.
I use pampers at home and huggies at work. I vastly prefer pampers because I hate the tabbies on the huggies.
At work, I see more leakage when a) the tabs aren't overlapped, aka the diaper is too loose at the waist, and b) when the penis is pointed in the wrong direction. Point the penis down!
