It's hard to believe that the nominations will be announced in around 2 short weeks.  This is an interesting article about things that may happen on Oscar nom morning.   ex: Jacob Tremblay for Lead Actor, no noms for Steve Jobs

--the guys and gal at Awards Circuit put out an awesome podcast each Sunday.  They even do Academy Idol where they eliminate one movie a week.  Last year Whiplash defeated Boyhood for the championship.  So far, Son of Saul, Revenant, Hateful Eight, and Ex Machina have been eliminated, leaving a slate that includes Room, Brooklyn, Carol, Spotlight, Inside Out, Sicario, Anomalisa, and Beasts of No Nation.

This week, the Oscar race became completely in flux. A lot of people are talking about how the Big Short has now replaced Spotlight as the likely winner in Best Picture. Other scuttlebutt:

McCarthy may get snubbed
