I am re dying my hair brown today. It's time to go back to a normal color as I'm going to begin looking for a new job in this new year.
After that I am going to the bookstore to look at calenders. Does anyone have any good recs? I never use one but I set alerts on my phone for very important things.
I'm working today, but after work I want to stop by a bookstore and buy a journal. I really feel inspired to start journaling. I wish I would have over the last 10 years, but alas, no gains by focusing on what I didn't do, so I'll start with what I can do.
I'm going to work on my budget today. Other than a journal, January is a spending freeze for me unless I have a gift card. I really what to focus on paying off debt and building a better savings account this year.
Semi busy day today. Going to Kohl's to use my Kohl's cash and a gift card. Looking for a handheld vacuum and an outside doormat. I looked online and found one I liked so fingers crossed it's at the store.
Then off for an oil change, and then dinner with my parents and stepdad for DD1's bday.
I'm going to do some work and yoga during the day today and then going to a movie meetup tonight. Yesterday I did a lot of organizing and cleaning which felt good. I really need to get the rest of my stuff out of the house but I'm stalling on that.
I'm getting my hair done right now. We went with a slightly different color combination so I'm excited to see it when it's done.
Next up is errands: Ulta to browse and the grocery.
Last up will be closet purge/organization. I want that done before I go to bed today so I can relax and start doing work tomorrow. I also need to work on a budget and start making some plans for the year.
I'm on my last section of organzing. Momentos. Amazing I don't have nearly as many as I thought. Then it's a trip to the goodwill, dusting the house and doing the floors. Then decorating with the few momentos I select to display. I also need to do laundry and then later I'm buying the doggies new beds to go with our clean apartment. I'm really proud of myself for all I have accomplished. My house is by far the most organized home I know of and it used to be the messiest. Here are some brag pictures.
I'm still in bed. After spending a week sleeping on a fold out couch, I'm so happy to be home!
The kids aren't going to their dad's so I am letting them have friends over later this afternoon. I also need to start laundry, get my car washed and go to the grocery store.

I have spent more time on the couch this weekend than I was planning to, but I've got a few things done. Carwash, painted my nails, did some laundry. I'm also really glad it's only Saturday. A 3 day weekend it the best.
Thanks gozf! I highly recommend reading the book, but here are the things I've taken away the most. Organize by category not room. This has been HUGE for me! So gathering up all of your books, clothes, papers etc. I had no idea how many places I was keeping the same stuff in and as result I had a lot of duplicate things. Also knowing that it's okay to get rid of stuff that doesn't truly make you happy. And using small containers to keep your stuff in makes everything so much easier. Then I can pull out a small box and get what I need instead of digging super far back into cupboards. It really had been totally life changing

That's awesome!
I am stoked to read the book, but I've been all over with the holidays, so I am waiting until things settle back into the normal routine. I've heard it's life changing, and I'm so happy it's working for you! Cross your fingers that it works for me too!
In sitting at the salon getting my hair cut and colored, then I'm going to a birthday party with Vegas for one of his friends. I've been staying at his place, but I had planned to head home before the party to get ready and drop jiggles off, but he suggested just leaving niggles at his place and heading to the party together, them back to his place for the night. It all makes sense based on geography and time saving, but I'm cringing at my outfit choices and makeup options. He sees no issue with my current state, which is good, but I still might just hit a MAC store that is close to the salon after my hair appointment just to be able to have a good face. Lol.

I got a hair cut and changed my hair color. I went to my hair lady and told her, I think my hair is too long now and she freaking cut it waaaay too short. I think I have mom's hair now. I do like the color though. I had it black and got dark brown with highlights.
@pdx18 -- I'm going to follow your lead, it all looks great! What containers do you recommend?
The book actually recommends using what you can from around the house. Shoeboxes work really well! Most of my containers were plastic bins that salad mix comes in at the store. I also have a miss mash of drawers from rubber maids and other smaller rubber maids. Part of the method is that you have to take everything out and sort it so I would just pile up my storage containers as I took stuff out of them. I did run out and needed to get a few, but I only spent like $25 dollars on organizer stuff. The dollar store had some great stuff.
I've been off for the last two weeks, so I'm trying to get myself organized before I go back to work on Monday. My kids are making this difficult. 2016 may turn into the year of the mean mom.
I'm sort of watching the Arkansas-KState bowl game, and an Arkansas player took an awful hit and was carted off the field with what looks like a serious neck injury. It was horrible to watch. I've always enjoyed watching football, but more and more I feel guilty enjoying a sport where players are so severely injured and may face long-term brain damage. I don't want my son to play football.
I think I'm ready to date. How does one know for sure? It's been 11 months since my X moved out and I'm freaked out by the idea of dating since I've never done it before (was with XH since high school), but want to get out and meet some people and see what happens. Messaged a few guys on OKC this weekend and maybe I'll hear back. Most of the guys that have messaged me in the last month are obvious creepers, that's normal, right?
