Favorite HBO shows/miniseries/movies?

I am in the free trial of HBO NOW which I am freaking loving. Tell me your favorites, old and new.

I've watched GoT and Girls. I'm watching Veep right now but not loving it (maybe I need to watch more?). I plan to watch the John Adams miniseries. I've heard I should watch The Sopranos, Entourage, and Boardwalk Empire.

Definitely watch the Sopranos. Was the Wire HBO? If so, watch that too but it takes a few episodes to get up to speed.

I love Last Week Tonight! It's hilarious, but it does make me sad a lot of the time.

The Wire. You have to watch the first five or six episodes to really understand what it's about. Don't think of the seasons as 13 hour-long episodes, but a 13-hour long movie.

The Wire and Deadwood are two of my all-time favorite shows. For a mini-series, I recommend Mildred Pierce especially if you like Kate Winslet.

Six Feet Under is one of my all-time favorite shows.

Seconding six feet under and sopranos. Also, if you are into true crime, check out the documentary series the jinx. Amazing, but do not look up spoilers! The last episode is positively bone chilling.
