Yesterday when I went to pick R up from daycare, it was right at the end naptime. R was in a bouncer and another little boy was in R's crib. I also happened to notice that this little boys nose was dripping snot.
Now I understand that the kids share the toys, high chairs, bouncers, etc. And they are bound to get sick because of one another. But this bothered me because when I first signed R up, I was told that each child has their designated crib with their own sheets/blankets from home. (We have to provide the blankets/sheets and are required to take them home every Friday to wash them.)
I would say something. I'm only a dog mom, but if each dog was designated a kennel and some flea infested Pomeranian punk was in my dog's sleeping kennel at boarding, I would be very angry!

I would definitely say something. I did my initial student teaching bit last semester at the college's day care and preschool. The nap mats had numbers on them to coordinate with a student in the class and only that child was allowed to sleep on that mat. The sheets had to be laundered once a week and any blankets students brought in had to go home once a week to be laundered too.
On my first day, I didn't know about the numbered system and just started slapping mats down. My teacher gave me a talking to about health codes, safety codes, personal child safety, and so on. Your child should be the only one in that crib until he stops attending that center. If he's not, speak up.

I'd ask about it but I wouldn't get upset until I knew why. There may be a reason. Maybe the other kid had a blowout while R was playing in the bouncer and they needed to put the other kid somewhere while they cleaned it up. Maybe they hadn't had a chance to put clean sheets on his bed before you came to pick R up. There are all sorts of circumstances, but I would ask to be sure.

So I spoke with one of the girls in the front office. She apologized over and over for what happened. Each child has their own designated crib, and the other baby shouldn't have been in my son's crib. She was going to relay our disscussion to the center's director.
