With the holidays and inevitably getting sick at some point, I always start the new year off with a fitness goal. I don't necessarily accomplish it, but it's the thought that counts, right?
I am working out again and we aren't eating out as much (mainly due to H's medical bills). I decided that once the number on the scale plateaus, I will not get discouraged, but really focus on my measurements. I realized this morning that in April I'm going to a wedding where I might potentially run into former college friends, so I'd like to slim down and firm up a bit before then.
Go to the gym 3-4x a week and not eat so much crap. That translates into meal planning and prep weekly.
Focus on our marriage by doing 1-2 date nights weekly.
Weekly budget meetings with MH and hopefully not repeat 2015, which was basically a year of uncontrolled spending.
And other things like get more sleep, read 52 books, put my phone down more, take more pictures and spend 10-15 minutes before bed tidying up and doing quick cleaning tasks. I am sure there are more that I have already forgotten, but I did write them all down.

I actually did pretty well with my 2015 resolutions!
For 2016, I don't have a goal to lose weight (would welcome that, though!) but more so of a goal to just not GAIN any weight... which involves more healthier eating options. I can't really work out any more than I currently, so I will put more focus on reducing sugar and certain fatty foods rather than workout goals. Though I would like to get back into skating in the spring before it gets too hot.
Another goal is to make a couple of donations to clear the house of some stuff that isn't being used. I did one donation drop in October and I'm due again since I've noticed other items lying around that could use a new "home".
My usual goals are to get out of the state at least once per year, and internationally every 3 years. We're talking with Euro-friends about meeting in France in the summer to go to a Euro-Cup game, so I may get the chance do my international trip this year! Part of my "resolutions" would be to save extra each month to set a decent budget for this possible trip.
Mine are a continuation of the last 2 years of resolutions. Stand my ground, don't let anyone push me around, don't get so upset over situations that I cannot change.
I have a couple of goals. Go to the gym 3-4 days/week (2 weekdays and then Sat/Sun with S). Play around with my new painting kit. For Christmas S got me a starter kit with an easel, acrylics, water colors, oil pastels, brushes and canvases. Since he's away quite a bit during the week I would like to spend some time after work painting instead of immediately crashing on the couch and doing nothing.
