They interview people on the street and one happened to be an Indian couple who hadn't started to save for retirement. MH was joking and asked "What is up with your people?" I said I was mortified for them and hope that their parents weren't watching.
It's not going to be MM, but my local fluffy arts guild has asked me to run one of the educational sessions we have at our monthly meetings. To do it properly, I need to buy a chunk of one-off balls of yarn. And basically destroy them. (not really, but knit up swatches out of them to felt, which renders them no longer usable for most purposes)
It'll be a fun project. And I'm pretty flattered that I've been asked to do it.

I LOVE MY NEW JOB.
The head of the department sat in as I did an initial eval for a new admit with traumatic brain injury this morning. I was nervous and felt a little like an imposter (do I really belong on this team??) but she sat back the whole time and told me I did an excellent job. Yay!
Looking forward to becoming a half-billionaire tonight and chucking my work computer out the window.
Otherwise really liking the Philips blue light that DH got me for Christmas. I've used it for the past three days while working and I've been much more alert than usual.
We are out doing errands. A couple of fixit things for the house, a couple of staging things too. Amazing sushi for lunch at our favorite place. Totally stopping for a powerball ticket.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

irene adler, I'd probably go tomorrow, that's how much I hate driving at night. I'd definitely go tomorrow if it's going to stop raining tomorrow, but I doubt that since I heard the rain has been endless out there.
We are in a powerball pool with H's friends. I wish I'd gotten one ticket of my own, but I forgot!

I'm in my third hour today of getting nothing truly useful done at work today. A quick monitor swap out has resulted in multiple video card changes, IT sitting in my office trying to get video drivers working, running extension cords and rerouting wiring to make everything work.
I'm just laughing at this point. At least it isn't further into tax season.
Unfortunately I can't make it Saturday I am so far behind in studying for my exam next Saturday and it isn't helping that I am stuck in Pittsburgh Sunday - Thursday.

Update! I decided to go tomorrow. It's so flooded here and my nerves were fried driving to the gym. I can't imagine driving down what you shiny roads in the dark
