My bestie is coming to visit tonight! She wanted to have some one on one time, but wasn't going to be able to come if she couldn't find somebody to keep her son, so H volunteered to entertain him (he's 8).
We're going out for drinks tonight. Tomorrow if they're going to hang around for a while, I'll suggest pedicures (because that's the only thing to do in this town).
In the meantime, we're going to try to clean out the multipurpose room, rip up the carpet, and lay new flooring...but we'll see how that goes.

Sapphire, your H is officially the sweetest man for doing that!
It's a birthday weekend in my family, the H's birthday is tomorrow and my baby brother's bday is Sunday. I think tonight will be relaxing at home, drinking a bottle of wine and watching some shows. Tomorrow we are def watching the Texans playoff game and are very excited they made it this year! After that, we have dinner reservations at a German restaurant in town to meet up with some of our close friends for the H's birthday dinner (he picked the place). It is close by some pubs so we may end up going somewhere after for drinks if that's what he wants to do.
On Sunday, I'll meet my parents and baby bro at a place where they are bowling for his bday to drop off his gifts and maybe eat some cake. I don't really like bowling because I always break a nail pretty much every time I try (I like my long nails too much to sacrifice them to knock down some bowling pins!). ;-)
I think that's about the extent of my obligations, but at some point there will need to be a grocery run.
We are supposed to go to one of MH's clients for drinks tonight, but I really don't want to, so I hope he agrees to cancel.
Tomorrow we are going to a film festival and will try and climb into our house to see the progress. I also need to do some cleaning and we will be watching football.
Sunday will be more of the same, football and relaxing.
OrangePixyStix I made sure to let him know what an awesome husband he is!
latte At what stage is the construction on your house?
We have a long way to go! June 6th is estimated move in date, but things keep getting pushed back (of course). Like doors and windows were supposed to come this week, now it's next Friday. Right now they are still framing. Everything outside is done (farming wise), they are just working on the inside framing.
Eh, nothing planned for us this weekend. S is flying home from Dallas tonight and won't get home until after midnight. I *should* suck it up and go to the gym after work. Tomorrow we're getting new carpet installed in S's office, we'll probably go out for dinner at some point.
Sunday will be laundry, grocery shopping, and later taking S to the train station. His travel schedule is insane, I think I would lose my mind. He's taking to train to Manhattan, working in his "home" office there Monday/Tuesday, then flying to Phoenix Tues night so he's there for Wed, then flying to San Francisco and see his new client for Thurs/Fri, THEN flying home Fri afternoon/night. Dude...

New construction is so fun! I love being able to see the whole process from start to finish. As soon as it is under roof, the progress will ramp up. Did you customize it or is it part of an existing development and you had a choice of styles?

We are doing custom, so we had to design floor plans and pick everything. You could say we might be a tad stressed out! Ha! Everything is over budget, which I know they say to expect, but holy shit! I just keep repeating, it will be worth it in the end!
NOTHING! We have nothing going on and I could not be happier after the first week back to work.
I think we're going to hit up a local coffee house tomorrow morning for egg bagels and coffee. It's a cute little shop overlooking a downtown area so we'll chill there for awhile. We have some errands and general house things to take care of. Probably binge some of The Americans.
It is supposed to snow tomorrow night. Not sure about Sunday yet. Probably more laziness. If I never change out of leggings/yoga pants all weekend, I will be one happy woman.
Fun! We are going back to Vegas in early April for my 30th. I'm jazzed! I haven't been back in about 8 years.
Where are you staying when you go?
We got a strip view room in the Jubilee tower at Bally's. We wanted something cheaper and mid-strip and the new rooms look really nice. We've never stayed there before.
