:-(
I have been off BCP for about a year but haven't paid much (any) attention to my period until 3 months ago. Cycle in June was 33 days (O on CD15). Cycle in July was 28 days (O on CD14) This cycle I may have O'd on CD18 (). It's CD33 and no period, BFN.
I think I'm going to have to actually start charting right? Blah.
It doesn't really sound that bad. Every month isn't the same when you're not on bcp.
You can either start charting or you can just have more sex. I have no idea what's going to happen with me (I haven't had a period since August 2010 between a pregnancy and breastfeeding and the minipill), so I sucked it up and started charting when I quit the pill.
I would start charting. Since I only have one working ovary, I quickly realized that about every 3rd month my body tried to ovulate on the non-working side and I would end up with a wonky cycle that month temp wise.

I was realllly rough charting so those are the dates that FF was giving me. But I wasn't doing it at the same time every day and I've missed a lot of days because of traveling this summer.
I've been using OPKs (2x per day around my fertile time) but haven't seen a + yet.
If you aren't seriously charting, FF is just giving you a good guess, probably close to the middle of your cycle.
Mine is consistently 28 or 29 days long, but O day can be anywhere from 11 - 16. I started getting more + OPKs when testing twice a day after my period stopped. Tooooons of wasted OPKs, but at least I have a better idea of whats happening.
So, even if your cycle is always 28 days long, it doesn't necessarily mean that O dates are the same. I only seriously chart from the time between the end of my period and confirmed ovulation, so don't be scared off by the committment it takes :-) You don't have to do it all month long.
