If you happen to have a TJ Maxx runway store near you and you like higher end brands at a good price I believe yesterday they started their yellow tags. That is is typically the lowest price they mark items down to. I went today as I had a gift card. I didn't find anything I personally needed but they had some interesting things and if you have some time and need things it may be worth checking out. I would check things carefully to make sure they are not damaged.
Here is some of what I saw: - Fancy boots - Loeffler Randall/Donald Pliner/Coach/Stuart Weitzman $79 - $139 - Sweaters - Vince/Theory/DVF $39 - $59 - Blazers - Rag&Bone, Ralph Lauren $59+ - Pants - Theory @ $29 - Jeans - JBrand @25
They had some men's stuff too - saw Hugo Boss/North Face/Vince on sale.
Lots of other interesting stuff. If I was actually able to try stuff on I may have bought something but I am too pregnant and tired today.
I was at my tj maxx today - yellow tags galore. I didn't get anything too exciting mostly cold weather running gear - but you really can't beat getting Columbia, North Face and Under armour jackets, pants and tops for $12-15 each!
OP may know. I have only ever seen the regular price tag with either a red or a yellow clearance sticker. What item was the blue tag on? Was it a crazy reduced price?
I found this on the internet from a couple of years ago:
1. Keep an eye out for colored tags. If you see a purple tag (Marshall’s) or a blue tag (TJMaxx) it means this is going to be the best price you will find this item. Purple tags at Marshall’s denotes a designer brand and a blue tag at TJMaxx signifies a higher-end designer label. You better grab these while you can! The best is when you can find a blue or purple tag in the Clearance section….even better! Clearance items will have a red sticker over the already great price. A yellow sticker over a series of red stickers shows an even further reduction which I believe is the final markdown. It will not be reduced any further than the yellow sticker. If you happen across a pink tag, it is a brand that is not exactly “designer” but is a higher quality and nicer than the normal everyday lower end brands and includes fashionable brands such as BCBG, Vince Camuto, etc. A white tag represents those normal everyday brands.
Thanks! I picked up a gray cashmere scarf for $15! :-)
I just clicked on your blog and like it!
It looks like we are in the same city. Any tips on good places to thrift shop/consignment stores?
I have been having success with ebay/poshmark/mercari but wouldn't mind hitting up some places for end of season sales. I have been really into the following brands - Theory/Vince/Catherine Malandrino/Nanette Lepore/Trina Turk/Helmut Lang
I consigned with Alexis' Suitcase in Sandy Springs but wasn't super impressed with the prices/items there. I need to check out the Buckhead location.

Thank you! I've been to AS in SS many times and have gotten lots of great deals, but ya just never know. Definitely check out the B'head location. While you're in the area, Labels (near the St Regis, Whole Foods, Van Michael) is a really fun...several different "houses" on one street. My favorite is the house full of shoes. I live in SS and frequent the Goodwills in both Sandy Springs and Dunwoody. The Dunwoody TjMaxx is a runway store and I see lots of those brands you mentioned there. Is that the one you visited? What area of the city do you live in?

I have found great stuff online ebay/poshmark/mercari but I know you can get lucky with thrift stores - it may not be worth the time/effort though. I know it helps if you can go frequently. I love checking out second hand finds people post on the purseforum - if I had more free time that would be fun to go hunting for deals.
