Ha. We'd probably pay off the one we have now. And make about 100K in improvements (it's a new house, but still, we could come up with 100K worth of stuff we would do to it).
We wouldn't move, I love our location. But I'd totally buy more land (a couple acres maybe) off our neighbours and dh would finally get his attached garage built. We'd majorly renovate our house too of course, or demolish it and rebuild I suppose, though I'd hate to be so wasteful.
Eta: Ok so here's the beach house I'd buy. It's only 1.2 million lol.
I think this thread presented me with my very first ever first world problem (even if it is a fantasy one).
All of these houses are too big for the two of us. Even if I pay for every possible household cleaning/maintenance service, we don't need a gigantic place.
So far I like @rennido's the best, although v's bathtub is to die for.
I looked for my lottery winning house the other day and didn't find anything I liked. I did find 15+ acres in a good area for less than $700k I think. So I would probably buy that since it's a good deal and I could build something. I'd really finish and expand our house renovations and stay where we are.
I'd buy a piece of land and build to suit. DH would require plenty of garage space for his new car collection and I would have the largest, most amazing kitchen ever. Plus a wine cellar definitely. Everything else we'd have to figure out, lol.

This one would be good, though the constant traffic would annoy me possibly. You can't beat the views. I would use the carriage house part for an artist in residence sort of program, so I could meet interesting people.
There is 150 acre plot near us that I would buy for $4M. Then I would build a house for us on it. And maybe one for my sister and one for my mom. Plenty of property to be close but not right next to each other.

I love that second one. It makes the first one seem like a good deal. I would have expected that first one to be a lot more expensive given the size and location. It would make a great inn or b & b.
