So ds goes to daycare/preschool, he is in the 2 yo room. I don't want to make valentines so I'm ordering some cute ones from oriental trading that say I dig you and have a little shovel.
Would it be cute to put it in a little cellophane bag and throw some m and m's in there?
Also, should I do anything for the teachers? Maybe a box of candy for the room since they work on shifts?
DS can't bring food or candy so he chose bubbles and valentines so I'm putting them together in a little cellophane bag.
For the preschool teachers I always just had him give them a regular Valentine. He really really loves his K teacher so he picked out a regular card and some stickers
And relating to our mm deal thread; I have to go dig my 70% off target valentine finds from last year. The girls picked out a whole bunch of diy card kits. They should get cracking if they're each going to make 18.

lala thanks for the reminder! I wonder where I put them? I know I bought 3-4 kinds so they would have a choice....hmmm not very mm if I can't find them.
We can't do candy but we do valentines (I just ordered some from etsy) and each of his teachers will get the same Valentine card. I actually love his teachers so I might do a small coffee gift card for one and chocolates for another.. Last year we put temporary tattoos in with his valentines. They have some cute construction ones on oriental trading (DS had a construction themed birthday last year and I ordered a few different kinds from them).
I think the M&Ms would be really cute as long as your room isn't peanut free. They are usually "processed in a facility that also processes peanuts" making them not 100% safe. Maybe a different candy?? I don't think you have to do anything for the teachers.
I'm kinda sad because my daughter goes to a daycare run by our school system and I don't think they are allowed to acknowledge holidays.
You and me both!! DS's school doesn't allow any activities that take away instructional time and they don't celebrate holidays.
We moved to this area last year specifically for the schools. What everyone I talked to forgot to mention is that they don't do anything fun for holidays!!! I'm bitter lol
