Please keep me in your thoughts that once this one is cut off, everything is good and another one doesn't have to be put on!
I'm working a half-day today. After my doctor appointment, I am going to try to convince my mom to stop at the mall so I can return/exchange some things. Also I get to spend the afternoon with my 3 1/2 going on 20 year old niece! For example the other day she said to my mom,
"so we are going to Aunt XYZ's house and then we are all leaving in 2 cars and meeting at the show; is that the deal?"
I fell back asleep for 20 extra minutes after my alarm went off this morning...talk about adrenaline rush when I woke up. I had to rush and stopped at a drive thru for breakfast since I had no time. Not getting my healthy eating plan off to a great start, lol, but such is life. A chunk of nail polish also came off at some point this morning and now seeing my chipped nail is driving me nuts.
I have some lingering anxiety about something that probably won't happen, but the idea that it even could is turning my stomach. I plan to do some soul searching over the next few days to figure out why this would make me feel this way. I've been reading a lot about meditation, so I'm allowing myself to feel the anxiety in hopes I can identify the origin and work on it rather than ignoring it or pushing it down.
I am still waiting on the house info for me to rent and move out. I have packed seven boxes to go along with the ones I already have packed for months now. I need a price and a plan ASAP. I hope to be out by 2/1!!!

I have a cold. I am basically a snot factory. It is DISGUSTING. SO I went to bed at like, 8:30 last night. And then woke up at 4:30 am. So I made myself go back to sleep until 6:30. I feel a LOT better, but I am still a snot factory. MAKE IT GO AWAY!
Yesterday I did a major move and in doing so I saw that whoever stbxh is seeing already has toiletries in the bathroom. That really hit me hard. Even though I know it's for the best, this makes it feel like it really was me that was causing his problems (Rationally I know that's not true). Hopefully with all of my stuff out I can really start to move forward.

I just got to work after dropping Dallas off at the airport.
This weekend was amazing. We had our first real argument/fight which you would think would be bad, but we talked and worked through it well. It was 100% my fault over something incredibly stupid that I did, and I was impressed with how well he handled it. Aside from that I got to see such a fun/silly/childlike (in a good way) but yet also super protective and affectionate side of him this weekend.
We said I love you for the first time and he left a good drawer full of clothes at my place so he doesn't have to worry about packing from now on, so I guess we can say things are going really well.
I'm taking advice I received to stop talking about it. I appreciate everyone's support and concern, I appreciate the time you've taken to offer options. I'm taking it seriously.
I met with my boss today to go over things for her next leadership meeting. My own "to do" list quadrupled. As long as I get everything done on time this will wind up being a good example of the things I can accomplish.
I'm excited about the snow we have. I wish everyone would calm down about it though.
Ok, so this is kind of gross... Sometimes I wish it was acceptable to pick your nose. I have always had some type of nasal issue (constant runny nose, sniffles...). A little over a year ago I started noticing what I I was told was scabbing in my nose, waaaaay the hell up there. Nose felt stuffy but when I blew it, nothing came out. Saw my ENT for my ear cleaning and asked him about it. He said it was a scab, probably due to the dry weather. He plucked it and cauterized it, at least I think that's what he did.
Anyway... The past few months I have been blowing bloody mucous out. My unprofessional self thinks that THAT is what is causing the "scabs" and that they're not really scabs at all but dried bloody mucous. I try my best to blow it all out, but sometimes that doesn't work. When I'm alone, I admit, I'll take a tissue and dig way up there to get it out. But when I'm not alone, I have to suffer through feeling this dried up gunk in my nose. Ugh!!!
I'm going to the ENT in a couple weeks for my ear cleaning so I'm going to ask him then. I wonder if I may need my sinuses cleaned out again (had that done, among other things, 4 years ago).

DD has issues with her nose as well and she uses nasal sprays and those seem to do the trick. When mucus is dry, it sort of gets them wet so they start to flow and it is much much easier to blow you nose. The saline water ones are really cheap.

I'm so mad. I posted about this on ML yesterday. Xh is getting money from the state (I'm assuming welfare) and now the child support has to be reviewed. I talked to my caseworker this morning and, because of this review, we have to go back to court, I can bring any documentation I have to "fight" the change and then the judge will decide if the child support amount should be modified.
It just doesn't seem fair. He is fully capable of working, I think he is the one that should file for a modification, not the state agency. Ultimately, it is my kids who are getting screwed by their "father" who is incapable of ever doing the right thing.

Someone else suggested using a saline spray to. I'll have to check it out. I do occasionally use a generic Flonase, but that's more for my fall allergies so I don't use it year round.
1confused1, that really does suck. I work with the benefits department and they get a lot of court orders regarding our employees covering their child(ten) on insurance. I would say 80% of the time that employee ends up quitting just so they don't have to do that.
I wish people would realize that they are not screwing their XSO, but they are really screwing their children.

It's really sad honestly.
He intentionally didn't collect unemployment so he didn't have to pay child support, but the idiot didn't request a modification so the back support has just been adding up. Guess he got us now! :^)
I have a phone interview in 30 minutes for a position at a company I have been trying to get a job at for months now. I have had two other interviews and this position is really well suited for my experience, where the others were a stretch in the experience zone. I know they like me and think I am a good culture fit, so I should be more confident, but there are always those nerves.
So fingers crossed. I would love to start somewhere with this company/industry, so jumping to a position that aligns with my current skills makes the most sense, and hopefully in the future I can grow into some of the other areas that I was "reaching" for.
Thanks everyone! Cast is off and I am in a removable splint! Yay for being able to use both hands while showering! I go back in 3 weeks and hopefully I can start OT then. One step in the right directions! Thanks again for all the well wishes!

In your OP, I thought you posted "Cat removal day" and thought that was kind of a cold way to announce that you were rehoming a cat.

I had a long long day of meetings and will have the same tomorrow. I think I must be very anxious about something because I haven't been able to eat much this week. Not sure if it is x stuff or work stuff because I am worried about both.
