Is there a board for a member to introduce themselves?

I was wondering if there was a board where a new member could introduce themselves. If not, could one please be created? Or are we just supposed to jump in and post on any boards that we feel inclined to without telling people who we are?

Each board is different - I would recommend lurking for a bit to get a feel of the board before posting. Some want an introduction, others are cool with people just jumping in.
