FML .. Xh and 'deathbed'

Thank you all for your words of encouragement and support I'm touched

I talked to the hospital social worker who informed me that xh did NOT give me consent to talk to his treating MDs. That made my decision easy, the only way she sees him is if he lands himself in the ICU.

That said I have zero problems sending his brother photos of dd to show xh and I've encouraged her to draw pictures and make get well cards for him that can be delivered by other family members.

It shouldn't be a surprise to him that I want to talk to his treaters - when he was in rehab before I let him speak to dd or see dd- I had lengthy convos w his treaters about his progress (or lack thereof).
