We got a confirmation that our tour group was able to get our Inca Trail passes for June. We booked a few months ago but weren't able to find out for sure we'd be able to do it until tickets went on sale this week. It sounds like they sound out for this spring within a few hours. Crazy.
Irene, you know we are going to need doggie model photos! That is so awesome.
The house is so clean, organized and the sun is out. The turtles are starting to sun themselves on the rocks in the little "lake" behind our house. There a beautiful Blue Heron out there fishing too. I've got chili simmering in the crockpot and it smells divine. It's a very sparkly, happy day.
My new supervisor actually gives me enough work to do, and delegates stuff out to me. I'm learning a lot from her already. My former supervisor parceled stuff out in too small of bits so I had a lot of time on my hands (which is not always a bad thing, but I had to try to look busy a lot).
Also, we've had like 5 days straight of snow. My husband has gone out and scraped off my car every morning. He's not usually that helpful, so this is a nice change and I have definitely made sure to thank him profusely! (He's great about snowblowing the driveway and sidewalk, but he has never taken initiative to clear off my car for me before)

Pom, right? I have been helping a friend organize a wedding showcase (she runs a venue) and she finally got approval to host the event.
Also, I am alone at work and only going to be here a half day so I can go home, pack, and jump on an airplane to head to Charleston. Yet the opportunity to dress Miso up in wedding finery is still the highlight of my day.

I found my missing khaki pants this morning so I got to wear my cute brown boots today.
I guess clothes going missing in the closet because with Boyfriend's stuff It's so overpacked it's impossible to find anything is a small price to pay for having such a sweet man in my life
Planning my son's 2nd bday party. Birthday parties for kids are where it's at.
Details! I'm planning M's 2nd as well.
It's school bus theme b/c he's obsessed w/buses and yellow is his favorite color! It's mostly going to be family and our best friends, so a few toddlers and more adults.
I've got a "bus hall of fame" game planned for the adults where they have to name the bus-related movie/clip/photo. I showed my CWs, it's fun and gets lots of conversation going.
I'm doing lots of tasty hot apps, making a large homemade bus-shaped cake (probably chocolate butter cake w/peanutbutter filling). I think I'll do mac and cheese w/the wheel-shaped pasta, maybe a tureen of lemonade w/liquor for the adults to spike theirs.
I'm most excited about the cake - I pulled out my Martha Stewart Wedding cakes book for this one. I figure I can always freeze it if I make a cake for 50 people, right?

What are you planning?
I love that! M always shouts "A BUS" on the way home. Busses are apparently awesome to almost 2 yo's. I can't wait to see the cake!

Speed!
Get on the Bus!
Speed 2!
That's all I've got lol.
Ah ha, hush that fuss
Everybody move to the back of the bus
This starting playing in my head while reading your reply. I'm going to be singing it all day

OMG, there are SO MANY! To name a few more: Partridge family, scene from the Fugitive, Dirty Harry, The Graduate, Midnight Cowboy, Ralph Kramden, Bronx Tale, Otto Man. I've done some history and pop culture too, e.g., Ken Kesey, Rosa Parks.
Not so much for myself, but H just called me from work and told me that he was chosen to go to India in March. He was super busy so couldn't give me many details but he had to write an essay about why he should get to go and he was picked out of a bunch of people. He sounded so excited about it that I can't help but be excited and happy for him.
My phone is blowing up with messages about the Charleston GTG. I'm so excited. It has been a long few months and I'm so ready to go off for a girls' weekend.

My student is having her baby! Seems like just yesterday she was crying in my office when she found out about the "oops" pregnancy, lol. (Luckily grad school student, not middle or high school or whatever).
My dog was just asked to be a model in a wedding fashion show. I am so stupid excited.
omg I would also be beyond excited. Definitely going to need those photos.
I was off today, and went downtown and had lunch with DH. Then I came home and tuckered the dogs out playing in the snow. I love this photo with Quincy's normally floppy ears standing at attention.
After that, the dogs snoozed for a couple hours while I cleaned out a closet that had become a junk magnet. I've been meaning to do that for months and it felt great to finally get around to it.
