I have another one. Are pregnancy or body pillows worth it. They seem huge and expensive, but my hips are killing me at night. I have to roll over at least every hour, which wakes me up.
I never needed one, but maybe I just got lucky? I just use a second pillow for under my belly and take it with me when I roll over to the other side. Rolling over wakes me up a little, but maybe I'm used to it now, because it isn't disturbing my sleep.

If you're having bad hip pain, yes, it's worth it. You may be able to get away with a normal body pillow if you really don't want the pregnancy pillow, but having something to wrap your legs around keeps you aligned. I was having horrific hip pain until I started sleeping with mine and now I hardly have any unless I throw it out of bed in the middle of the night. I can really feel a difference.
PennyCandy IMO the pregnancy pillows are worth it. I have a snoogle from my first pregnancy and I used it a lot then. I was having trouble sleeping this time as I entered the second trimester, but I couldn't pin down exactly why. Decided to give the snoogle a try and I'm sleeping much better now.
Those on baby #2, when did you start showing? I know everyone says I'll start showing early, so I'm trying to prep for hiding it as much as possible until we are ready to announce.

I was in mat clothes early this time, like 7-8 weeks. I didn't succumb until 11-12 weeks with my first. This time I was huge from 9-12 weeks but a lot of it was bloating and I got smaller around 12-13 weeks. But I was also on fertility drugs this time and I think they made it worse.

I just took a pillow from the spare room and use it between my knees. I normally sleep with a body pillow (H and I share it when we cuddle, was worth it so he wouldn't keep hogging my pillow). My hips have been killing me as well, soaking in the bath before bed with some salts has helped me sleep better at night.

For me, yes. Last time I didn't get one and used a ton of pillows to prop and position myself. This time, a friend gave me her snoogle and it's been great already. I'm only 12 weeks but I can tell it's helping me.
With the second pregnancy, my belly was fluffy by 8 weeks but at 12, I don't think I look pregnant as much as chubby.

I got the Boppy when it was on sale and while I think I could have probably made due with several extra regular pillow, I feel like it was worth it. It takes the pressure off my hips, and it helps me stay sleeping on my side. When I don't use it (if we go away for the night), I often wake up on my back feeling stiff.
