This pregnancy I'm going to try damn hard not to purchase anything from Motherhood since it all basically fell apart before I even had DS. My Target Ts are still good (I think). I know about Pea in the Pod, Nordstrom, Gap, and Loft, but what are some other places to look for clothes? Old Navy and H&M don't typically work on me even without a belly.
My work environment is business dress but I can stretch the definition of that most days - I have blazers that I can wear open over a dress.
I bought a tunic dress from Seraphine. It was expensive, so maybe not great for an entire maternity wardrobe, but it's held up really well. They have all sorts of dressier attire.
I love LOFT for maternity clothes, their stuff is good quality and what I bought from there last pregnancy is still in excellent condition...the only problem is that I'm slightly smaller this time around than I was when I was pregnant with DD, so I had to buy some new pants already. lol
I bought two excessively boxy shirts from Banana Republic that, although not maternity and not stretchy, lasted all 9 months, even though I had a giant belly. Sometimes you can get lucky with stuff like that in regular sizing. Look for things that are loose fit and read the reviews; I found a few things with like one star in sale sections that had reviews that said "returned! Made me look pregnant!" --> JACKPOT. Lands End was another place I bought non-maternity things (specifically swim suits) using that strategy.

This is literally making me lol. It's funny because it's true.

I actually bought some nice maternity sweaters, leggings and jeans when I was at Ross last pregnancy. The Ross in Orlando had a maternity section. It was so cheap (leggings for $5.99 etc).
They have all held up well and I'm wearing them this pregnancy.

I also bought sweater dresses in a size up from Express. They have ruching on the sides and worked great for maternity. I wore them after I gave birth too and they fit fine as they had stretch.
Kohls, where I normally don't shop, has been awesome surprisingly. And very cheap- I started needing maternity clothes in the fall between seasons so I got a bunch of basics (jeans, tanks, tees) for $3-8.
My favorite jeans are Jessica Simpson from Macy's.
Ross actually had some great finds for super cheap. They were motherhood brand so I knew they wouldn't last, but for $5-$7 I didn't care.
I agree with trying to find non-maternity on clearance. I had such bad luck with maternity quality last time not even lasting the full 9 months. This time nearly everything will be useable again but I sized up in normal brands.
Eta: oh and see if there are consignment shops near you. Jeans and skirts and business clothes are cheaper that way, if available.
I bought several things from Gilt.com. They have a maternity section with cute dresses and work appropriate stuff. Some of it is final sale and non-returnable, but I've been happy with everything I've purchased.
I second Ross and have been able to find some good items at the Goodwill and ARC. Being plus-sized and pregnant has made it difficult. I was at 1x for blouses (sometimes XL depending on the brand), so I went up to 2x and 3x comfortably.

I don't have a business wardrobe and I'm really cheap, so my strategy is different. I have bought a lot at Old Navy: tanks, tees, and full panel jeans and cords. They work for me and the price is right. I have also bought many of their non-maternity dresses and sized up. I bought a cocoon dress and a couple summer maxis for around $10 each.
I've also been very lucky at my local Goodwill. I'm in a middle class area on the edge of a more affluent area and I found shirts, dresses, and pants (all maternity) in good brands and condition.
Last pregnancy I had a business casual workplace and I survived on 2 solid dresses, black and brown pants and one black blazer. I just added a ton of shells and tops.
Non maternity stuff that has worked for me: tunics, jersey dresses, maxi dresses, maxi skirts, empire waist sundresses, cardigans and jackets worn open, men's undershirt tanks for a bottom layer. Also, I have some very stretchy jeggings I al loving. I double they'll make it to third trimester but they're good for a while longer.

I wish I had known this about Motherhood ahead of time. I was just thinking this morning how Im going to have to toss at least 50% of my stuff from motherhood :/
