DH and I moved in with B/SIL. The cat is doing ok with the adjustment, the only problem is he won't stop jumping on counters. He didn't do this at our old place and I honestly have no idea what to do to stop him from doing this.

We put cookie sheets with water in them on our counters. When kitty jumps on counter, they get wet and jump down. We also kept water bottles handy and sprayed them whenever they jumped up on the counters.

Packing tape, sticky side up. They jump up and get stuck, then jump down and run away. Our boys hate it so much that even the stupid one is easily corrected by this. PLUS I usually only need to put out "reminder" tape about every 3-4 months, again, even for the stupid one.
