The day I walked in the graduation ceremony for college, I remember distinctively that I got stung by a wasp while I was outside afterwards waiting for my family. It was the last time I was stung by one and I remember the bite mark hurting for days. I am not sure if that was a sign of anything but for some reason I remember that happening more clearly than who the speaker at the ceremony was. haha
Lol, I would probably remember that as well moreso than the speaker.
What I remember about mine was a)my now H was late, (and had threatened to not be there at all because he was at the beach with friends, we had only been dating four months and he didn't think it mattered...); b) when he did show up, he ended up sitting with my parents, sister, and best friend. Second time meeting the family. I was freaking out about it; and c) getting into a car accident on the way to the grad party at my parents' house. And nope, don't remeber the speaker or the speech at all.
Ouch! I've never been stung, thankfully! But The Husband was last year and his arm was swollen for a month and looked really sore.
Yikes, maybe he had more of a reaction than I did! I remember it swelled up like a welt and I had to use Cortizone on it b/c it itched like the devil. I don't remember it being a month-long issue though, only a couple days. Damn wasps!

I do remember the speaker was a co-founder of Dell, but it wasn't Michael Dell, the head guy.
I'm glad your (now) H showed up for the ceremony! Bummer about the car accident, that always ruins a perfectly good day.
I wasn't able to attend my graduation. I was in North Carolina for my cousin's wedding. That was definitely a bummer after all the hard work. They told me I could go to the next semesters graduation but that wasn't mine!
That sucks, OPS! But graduation ceremonies are boring as all get out, so I'm not surprised that the wasp sting memory resonated more clearly.
The only thing I really remember about my college graduation is that, because I really disliked the president of the school, I kept freaking my mom out by saying I was going to smack the pres on the ass and say "thanks Kate" when she handed me my diploma on stage. I didn't, but I wanted to.

It was a tracker jacker.
:Y:
Ouch, OPS! I've never been stung, but the way I scream and run when I see a wasp, you'd think I'm deathly allergic.
I just remember getting into a huge argument with a couple of friends right before our graduation ceremony b/c I chose to sit with my BFF from middle school, instead of the idiot drunks that they are (seriously, one of them had a puke bag with him for the ceremony...he was so drunk, he could hardly walk TO the stage, much less across it). Then my BFF and I sat there chit chatting the whole time...no clue who the speaker was or anything. It was long and boring.
