How was your weekend?

Good Morning!

Today feels like Monday, doesn't it?  

I passed my real estate exam and already met with my boss to fill out paperwork.  I should get my official license in the mail shortly and will start this next chapter of my career!  

The weekend was okay. I came down with some bronchitis, so that made it not so fun.  We ran errands Saturday and stayed in on Sunday to watch football.

Congrats on your exam! I knew you'd pass! But shitty on the bronchitis. Hope you are feeling better again soon.

It was good! Watched football both Saturday and Sunday (Yay Broncos!), then spent all day yesterday cleaning. Our realtor came over late afternoon and did an initial walk through. We meet again next Tuesday to discuss pricing and marketing. I am most excited about the fact that they also provide a stager. I am going to see how much she is regularly and depending on that might snag her for our new place too!

My was good! Very relaxing. Friday I did a little shopping after work and then just chilled at home. Saturday I did some cleaning/organizing and then met my BFF for mani/pedis. We ordered in sushi at her place with her H and hung out drinking wine til about midnight. Sunday I got my hair cut and then hit the grocery store. I was going to text my friend about meeting up but it started snowing so I decided I didn't want to go anywhere. Monday I had a 90 min hot stone massage and then made turkey chili.

The weekend was long, but very productive! We ripped up the carpet in our bedroom and closet and ripped out the vanity, cabinet, and toilet in the bathroom. Laid new flooring in all, repainted the bathroom, and replaced the vanity and cabinet. It looks and feels so much better in that bathroom now! (see below) It's nothing fancy, but I'm proud of it!

Saturday we celebrated a donor-couple's 65th wedding anniversary. She made me feel super special when she went out of her way to introduce me to her son. They are just the sweetest couple! After that we party-hopped since many of our work friends were getting together in various places. We had a great night!

I was hoping to actually get to relax yesterday, but our home improvement kept getting delayed for various reasons. It's pretty much done though! All that's left is to hook the sink up and hang the mirror and some towel racks.

My weekend was okay, but I did have to work Monday so it wasn't a long one for me.
We did manage to get to the theater to see the Star Wars movie, which was pretty good (coming from someone who doesn't follow the series and hasn't seem all of them).
Had an amazing seafood dinner out, got to see BFF and her family for a little while, watched football and went to Costco. Exciting stuff, lol.

This week we are just prepping for our double-bday party at our house on Saturday. I need to get the cake on Friday, friends are coming in from Austin to stay with us, and I have some cleaning to do before then. Luckily I've been casually going through the usual trouble-spots of clutter, so there shouldn't be too much to do by Friday other than wiping down surfaces and vacuuming. Looking forward to having our friends over and I've been working on a music playlist, too!
