Let your doctor know what you ate. Restaurant food is usually higher in sodium so may have impacted your BP. Fingers crossed if you haveto continue, it will be short
I know when I was retaining water and on a salt restricted diet, I ate fish and chips. Within 2-3 hours, I was so bloated, I thout my skin wouldnt hold me. (this was before I was pregnant).

Don't beat yourself up or blame your DH. I'm sure he thought it would be good for you to get out of the house & spend some time with friends. Aside from the reflux I hope you had fun.
Like others said be sure to tell the doc what you ate, maybe they'll want to recheck your BP later in the week.
By the way, I LOVE Maggianos, I wish we had one in our area. We usually get to go once a year since ILs have one in their area.

Sorry I don't know the back story so this information may not apply to you, but sodium restriction is not recommended during pregnancy and does not prevent preeclampsia. It may make you retain more fluid, but swelling and edema are no longer used to diagnose or monitor preeclampsia.

I went into labor naturally with kid 1and he was 11 days early. Induced with kid 2 at 38 wks. At first I was, also, disappointed to be induced, but I quickly realized it didn't make a difference. The baby is full term, perfectly healthy, and it's actually just as exciting a delivery, just in a controlled environment

Do no beat yourself up. My BP always rises during PG, despite my diet and exercise. It just happens to some women. I have also managed to make it to 40 weeks, although I know every situation is different. GL to you.
Your update doesn't seem so bad - glad to hear you can go back to work here and there. Maybe not the most ideal of situations, but having a healthy mom and baby is the end goal - try to remind yourself of that! Though if you are anything like me, not being in control of what will happen (despite your best efforts) is so frustrating. That has been the hardest part of being pregnant for me and what I fear most about being a parent. Hang in there!
My 1st pregnancy was a breeze. My 2nd? Not so much. I feel your pain but know that once she's here you will completely forget about all this nonsense. At 36 weeks I had to go in for fetal monitoring every other day. I had a number of issues. Anemia, cholastis of the liver, itching and swelling among many things. My doc wanted me off my feet and I really tried but I was in total denial. (I had done this before right?)
Long story short, my DS came 3 1/2 weeks early and was a perfectly healthy 7lb, 11oz baby. You can't beat yourself up for one night out. She'll come when she wants to.

Everyones' stories are different, but the end result is what matters. A healthy baby. Try to relax and not worry about what should have been. You are doing a great job, just hang in there and try to stay happy and positive.
Unfortunately pregnancies seem to have a mind of their own. Don't beat yourself up about it. Sounds like things are going in the right direction though good luck, almost at the finish line!
Don't beat yourself up. Your baby will be healthy.
My doctor wanted me to be off work the last month and I said I was fine. I felt fine, but I was very swollen. My doctor said i wouldn't go past 40 weeks. He alluded to her being early. I hit a wall around 37 weeks and realized I needed to take it more easy. I wasnt sleeping well the entire pregnancy and by that point I was only getting maybe two hours a night. I finally decided to work half days. That evening, I had Emily. She was early. My bp had spiked when I checked it at home that evening. Despite her being early, I felt really bad afterward...that I should have taken it more easy and listened to my doctor and started cutting back on hours. But, really, you can't control some of these things.
I was on bedrest from 31.5 weeks on for high blood pressure. The dr who put me on was an ahole who hadn't seen me before and asked why I was only taking dosage x and not dosage y (uh, bc that's what I was told to take???) but that's a different story. He said the same exact thing to me. I (thankfully) didn't see him any more and my dr was fine with inducing me on my due date rather than needing to go early. I ended up going into labor on my own at 38.5 weeks. Take it easy as much as you can, watch your diet, and keep an eye on your blood pressure. Whatever happens everything will be fine.
I had a difficult pregnancy with my second and ended up having a scheduled c section at 36 weeks. I remember being so relieved to make it that far! Other than an awful delivery OB, who questioned why we were there so early- told me i was putting her in a difficult position and my baby was at risk. The baby was 100% fine though.
Good luck- whatever happens, things will be fine in the end.

Hugs, starry.
Please be kind to yourself. Pregnancy can be a very unpredictable thing; there's not much you or your DH can do except to go with the flow. The only thing that matters is for you and your sweet baby to be healthy. Before you know it, she'll be in your arms and everything you went through to get to that point will be a distant memory.
