How are things where you are today? How was your weekend? Anything exciting to report?
QOTD: According to my Facebook Feed, it's Girl Scout Cookie time in the US. Along those lines, what are your favorite commercially available cookies in your current/home country? And, if you want, what's your favorite Girl Scout Cookie?

It's a Monday before a Tuesday federal holiday here, so it's the worst kind of Monday. But then things should get back to normal, with kids back in school and the non-summer routine back in force. The weekend was busy for us. DH invited friends over for Australia Day, so we spent the weekend cleaning house and straightening our clutter.
QOTD: I really like ANZAC biscuits, and Arnott's Mint Slice, which are kind of like Girl Scout Thin Mints only much better. But then I'm not a cookie snob, the only kinds I really don't like are ones with white chocolate chips or frosting. As far as Girl Scout Cookies go, I won't pass up a box of Thin Mints and the shortbreads/trefoils make a great crust for lemon icebox pie or key lime pie, but I don't like them on their own. Walkers make much better commercially available shortbreads.

Played two field hockey matches this weekend (won 1, lost 1 but both games were good). Went on a ride in our new car to a country pub on Sunday and had a roast dinner (yum). Very glad that I don't live on the East Coast of the states right now as we're having very mild weather here in London - high of 14C/58F.
QOTD: I'm not a huge mass produced cookie fan tbh, but I'd probably choose Tunnocks milk chocolate teacakes out of all that I've tried, which are a basic cookie base topped with marshmellow and covered with chocolate. For GS cookies, I'm a thin mints girl.

They import the Arnott Mint Slices to Doha, and they are SO freaking good! I also love Tim Tams :-)

Morning!!!
Things are good :-) I got up early and worked out with some friends, so I always feel good about that! Work is pretty quiet, since all our deadlines were last week, so that's a nice change for a pace for a few weeks. Trying to get caught up on a few projects while it's quiet!
Weekend was great! I went to Dubai to visit my best friend who lives there, and we had a great time. They do fun outdoor markets and arts festivals with food trucks! Doha doesn't have anything like that, so it was nice to get away for the weekend. I also got some shopping in - great sales at Express :-)
QOTD: In my current country, they actually import a lot of US/UK/Aussie cookies. But on a more local front, they make this date shortbread cookie covered in chocolate that is pretty tasty! My favorite GS cookie is the Samoa (Caramel coconut) and the Tagalong (choc peanut butter). Overall though, I prefer to bake my own cookies :-P

My weekend was very low key as I'm trying to recover from an awful, lingering cough.
It is FREEZING here! Well, not actually freezing, but about 3 degrees which is crazy when nothing is well insulated and no one has heat. Apparently there were even some snow flurries up north by the border.
I'm not really a cookie person. I love chocolate chip cookies from a SE US grocery store (publix) but I obviously can't get them here.
